Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a team of entry-level production staff in California, ensuring customer demand is met through effective scheduling and supervision.

You will coordinate daily production activities, drive reliability and quality initiatives, and partner with the Compliance Manager on training. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement within a union-aware environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; bachelor degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years in an industrial plant environment with at least 2 years leading a team.
  • Experience working in, and/or managing within a union environment is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction for a team of entry-level production employees to meet customer demand.
  • Coordinate production activities to support daily distribution, including local delivery routes and shuttle operations.
  • Lead reliability, compliance, quality, and safety initiatives to meet government and environmental regulations; Coordinate training with the Compliance Manager.
  • Monitor production outputs and staffing levels to maintain efficiency, anticipate problems, and develop contingency plans.
  • Communicate and collaborate with first shift counterpart to ensure smooth operations and effective shift handoffs.
  • Identify operational issues and lead improvement initiatives related to production processes, shift schedules, and training.
  • Oversee inventory levels, manage equipment and product quality issues, and support 5S and Lean Projects to reduce operating costs through Operational Excellence strategies.

  • Identify operational issues and lead improvement initiativesrelated to production processes, shift schedules, andtraining, reporting activities to plant management
  • You will help oversee inventory levels, manage equipment and productquality issues, and support 5S and Lean Projects to reduce operating coststhrough Operational Excellence strategies

Pay range: $80,000 - $95,000 yearly, based on experience
