ABOUT THE POSITION:

We are seeking a motivated Production Supervisor to join our team. The Production Supervisor oversees the safe receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely delivery of materials, products, and services to our customers in their territory. This role ensures Workplace Health and Safety requirements are met and maintained according to Federal, State, and Local laws, along with all company-issued training.

The Production Supervisor is accountable for the security of assets in the office and warehouse, responsible for regular audits and inventory of materials. Additionally, they oversee the repair, maintenance, and upkeep of the physical building and grounds, utilizing approved vendors. The role also includes responsibilities for local Quality Assurance activities, logistics, procurement of operating supplies, and employee training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain receiving, shipping, inventory control, and production work cells by implementing departmental programs and operational procedures.
• Control scrap, inventory levels, and accuracy through physical cycle counts and reconciliation with perpetual inventory records.
• Recruit, orient, plan, and train staff; monitor employee performance.
• Achieve branch financial objectives by minimizing costs, overtime, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and implementing financial controls.
• Ensure sales orders are issued, picked, processed, shipped, and invoiced promptly.
• Develop vendor evaluation criteria and regularly review vendor adherence.
• Maintain warehouse and logistics operations, equipment, capacities, and capabilities through production planning, routine inspections, and equipment repairs.
• Interact with customers, vendors, and service providers in the best interest of the company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 10 years of relevant work experience in a service center, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
• College degree preferred.
• MSDS experience is a plus.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in computer skills, especially MS Office.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• Experience in budget development and management is a plus.
