Job summary

Jobot in the Quad Cities area is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead hourly production teams in a high-volume metals manufacturing environment. You will drive safety, quality, productivity and employee development while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Reporting to an Operations Manager, you will ensure production goals are met, foster a positive team culture, and coordinate with maintenance and technical staff to address equipment challenges.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Associate degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Leadership, or related field preferred.
• Technical, vocational, apprenticeship, or skilled trades training preferred.
• Experience in heavy manufacturing, metals, industrial production, or related environments preferred.
• Experience working within a unionized workforce preferred.
• Exposure to lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or operational excellence programs preferred.

Salary: $70,000 - $110,000 per year

A leading metals manufacturing company is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead hourly production teams in a high-volume industrial environment. This role is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, and employee development while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.

Reporting to an Operations Manager, the Production Supervisor will provide day-to-day leadership, ensure production goals are achieved, and foster a positive, team-oriented workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop hourly production employees in a manufacturing setting


• Ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production processes


• Drive production performance, delivery reliability, and waste reduction efforts


• Respond quickly to operational issues and implement effective solutions


• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives


• Coach and mentor employees to improve engagement, accountability, and performance

Work Schedule

This position operates on a rotating schedule consisting of 12-hour shifts:

• 4:30 AM - 4:30 PM


• 4:30 PM - 4:30 AM

Employees rotate between days and nights approximately every 3 to 4 months.

Required Qualifications
