Job description

Job Title: Production Supervisor

Location: Omaha, NE

Hours: 2nd shift 3:30 pm - 2:00 am, Fridays as needed

Responsibilities:

• Ensure shift operations adhere to documented standards, oversee end-of-shift cleaning and changeover protocols for smooth transitions.
• Maintain production equipment, ensure proper training for employees, and coordinate repairs with maintenance staff as needed.
• Promote understanding of continuous improvement and problem-solving tools among work center coaches and employees.
• Communicate performance feedback to team and management.
• Oversee onboarding and training of new employees to ensure safety and quality compliance.
• Support training and motivation efforts, and foster employee development, engagement, and retention.
• Lead, develop, and mentor production staff.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of manufacturing/production/warehouse experience, including supervisory roles.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with hay and hay-based products.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods, including stooping, kneeling, twisting, and bending.
• Forklift certification and operation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with time clock systems and computer programs.
• Ability to interpret financial and production data.
• Effective understanding and following of written and verbal instructions in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with E-21 software.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Training or experience in food safety and sanitation.
