Job Overview

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for developing continual product and process improvement techniques in raw material refining, manufacturing, and packaging. The supervisor will lead and manage the work cell crew to meet production targets, quality standards, and safety measures. Additional duties include supporting work order closures, performing root cause analysis, and maintaining production metrics. The ideal candidate should have at least three years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, experience in lean manufacturing, and strong communication and leadership skills.

A Day In The Life

  1. Provide leadership and line management to the work cell crew, coordinating workloads, supporting team members, monitoring issues, and ensuring production targets, KPIs, and quality standards are met.
  2. Ensure efficient application of people and resources, adherence to standard work procedures, and maintenance of quality and safety standards.
  3. Lead by example in following 5S practices (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
  4. Support work order closures and stock control transactions.
  5. Assist in root cause analysis and problem resolution within the work cell, maintaining communication with management.
  6. Participate in ongoing training and development as required for the role.
  7. Support management in performance, quality, safety, and attendance corrective actions within the work cell.
  8. Communicate and maintain production metrics and results, sharing information across organizational levels as needed.
  9. Monitor time and attendance, ensuring policy compliance.
  10. Participate in incident, accident, and non-conformity investigations, including reporting and corrective actions.
  11. Coordinate with Production Scheduling to determine shift production schedules.
  12. Lead by example to foster a culture of respect and teamwork, developing leadership skills within the team.
