Ambassador Personnel, Inc. is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor in New Orleans, Louisiana to lead hourly production staff and ensure safe, efficient plant operations. This direct-hire role partners with plant leadership to drive performance, safety, quality and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will develop employees, monitor performance, coordinate daily activities, and uphold company policies while delivering results in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support hourly production employees on shift.
• Coordinate daily production activities and communicate shift priorities.
• Monitor production performance, quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Support hiring, training, coaching, performance reviews, and disciplinary processes.
• Communicate priorities between shifts and work with plant leadership on needs.
• Monitor equipment and coordinate with maintenance as needed.
• Assist with troubleshooting production issues and corrective actions.
• Maintain shift reports and assist with production planning.
• Train employees to adhere to established processes and procedures.
• Promote safety, quality, accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.

Ambassador Personnel, Inc. is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor for our client in New Orleans, Louisiana. This is a direct-hire opportunity offering a competitive benefits package, including 401(k), vacation, and parental leave.

The Production Supervisor will lead and support hourly production employees while helping ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations. This position works closely with plant leadership and plays an important role in employee development, production performance, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support hourly production employees on shift
• Coordinate daily production activities and communicate shift priorities
• Monitor production performance, quality, safety, and efficiency
• Support employee hiring, training, coaching, performance reviews, and disciplinary processes
• Communicate priorities and important information between incoming and outgoing shifts
• Work closely with plant leadership to address operational needs and production challenges
• Monitor equipment and production processes and coordinate with maintenance as needed
• Assist with troubleshooting production issues and implementing corrective actions
• Maintain accurate shift reports and assist with production planning
• Train and coach employees to ensure adherence to established processes and procedures
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, EEO standards, labor regulations, and applicable operating procedures
• Support plant initiatives and other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
• Strong understanding of production processes and plant operations
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, time-management, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field preferred
