The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing and directing the daily operations of the Production Department. This hands-on role requires working in a fast-paced environment to ensure safety, production, and quality standards are met, while also achieving on-time delivery commitments to customers.

Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities

1. Enforce safety, environmental, and product safety policies and procedures, maintaining safety and housekeeping standards and conducting inspections.
2. Review production schedules to determine requirements and evaluate current outputs.
3. Develop and implement work procedures, processes, and standards aligned with company goals.
4. Maintain records related to production, spoilage, and maintenance, and complete shift end reports.
5. Train and supervise operators on machine setup and operation.
6. Inspect materials, products, and equipment for defects or malfunctions, coordinating necessary resources.
7. Support food safety program development, implementation, and continuous improvement.
8. Ensure process quality aligns with customer and plant standards.
9. Serve as the plant's acting leader during designated times as directed.
10. Conduct employee performance reviews and support development initiatives.
11. Manage employee attendance, evaluations, and other HR records.
12. Schedule overtime, assign jobs, and coordinate vacations and holidays.
13. Foster a positive, productive work environment across the team and departments.
14. Perform other duties as reasonably required for the role.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years supervisory experience in high-speed manufacturing environments.
• Proven leadership and mentoring skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience is advantageous.

Physical Demands

Activities vary in frequency, including occasional, frequent, and constant physical activities such as lifting, standing, walking, manual manipulation, reaching, climbing, squatting, and kneeling. The role also requires visual, auditory, tactile senses, PPE usage, mobility, and working in hot environments.
