Job summary

Jabil is seeking a production leadership professional to direct a machine support group at a 500-employee medical device site. You will oversee daily operations, ensure on-time production through schedules, and uphold strict quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, coordinating with quality and engineering, reporting key metrics, and driving continuous improvement. A Bachelor’s in engineering or related field and 3–5 years of manufacturing leadership are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, business administration, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5 years in manufacturing with at least 2 years in a supervisory/lead role.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency with MES and ERP software in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment.
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma knowledge a plus.

Job Summary

Directs the activities of the Machine Support group. Responsible for maintaining production schedules and ensuring that quality standards are adhered to by the group.

LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of a production team at Jabil Inc., ensuring efficient manufacturing processes, high-quality output, and adherence to safety standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and mentor production team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Plan, organize, and monitor production schedules to meet deadlines and production targets.
• Ensure all production activities comply with Jabil's quality standards, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
• Identify and troubleshoot production issues, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and waste.
• Monitor and report on key production metrics, such as output, efficiency, and scrap rates.
• Collaborate with other departments (e.g., quality, engineering, logistics) to optimize production flow and resolve interdepartmental issues.
• Conduct regular performance reviews for team members and provide constructive feedback.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing efforts.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.

Education and Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, business administration, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control principles, and safety regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in using manufacturing execution systems (MES) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic production environment.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience

The pay range for this role is $77,500 - $139,500. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
