SUMMARY

Directs and coordinates the daily activities of the production support and manufacturing team. Responsible for executing production schedules, optimizing labor and resources, and ensuring that safety, quality, and delivery standards are consistently achieved. Drives accountability across the team through effective leadership, performance management, and adherence to standardized processes and systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment and Retention:
  • Recruit, interview, and hire technical and production support staff.
  • Communicate role expectations and hiring criteria clearly to recruiting partners.
  • Coach team members involved in the hiring process to ensure consistent and effective candidate evaluation.
  • Monitor team member turnover, identify root causes, and implement actions to improve retention and engagement.
Employee and Team Development:
  • Assess individual and team strengths and identify development opportunities on an ongoing basis.
  • Develop, implement, and sustain training programs to ensure capability across all functional areas.
  • Coach and mentor team members to drive high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain succession plans to support business continuity and long-term growth.
  • Promote cross‑training and flexibility to meet changing production demands.
Performance Management:
  • Establish clear, measurable goals aligned with operational metrics, including safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
  • Monitor team performance against production schedules, standard work, and key performance indicators.
  • Provide timely coaching, feedback, and corrective actions based on performance gaps.
  • Conduct performance evaluations accurately and on schedule.
  • Drive continuous improvement in team performance and operational results.
  • Maintain team focus and direction during periods of high demand or operational challenges.
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of recognition, rewards, and disciplinary actions.
Communication:
  • Foster an environment of open communication and collaboration across all levels of the organization.
  • Provide clear, timely updates on production status, risks, and priorities.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings to review performance, address issues, and align on goals.
  • Encourage feedback and input from team members to support engagement and problem solving.
  • Adapt communication style to effectively engage diverse teams.
OPERATIONS AND TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead daily execution of the production plan, ensuring alignment of labor and resources to meet schedule requirements.
  • Monitor production flow and address constraints or disruptions to maintain on‑time delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to standardized processes, work instructions, and operational systems used to track performance and progress.
  • Drive accountability for accurate and timely reporting of production status and performance metrics.
  • Oversee equipment readiness and coordinate with support teams to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
  • Support and enforce preventative maintenance programs and equipment reliability initiatives.
  • Lead structured problem‑solving activities to address production issues, quality concerns, and process inefficiencies.
  • Ensure effective management of non‑conforming material, including identification, escalation, and resolution.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, best practices, and productivity enhancements.
  • Support layout changes, line balancing, and process optimization initiatives to improve throughput.
  • Establish and monitor key operational metrics to drive performance and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment through enforcement of workplace standards.
  • Lead by example, reinforcing company values, safety culture, and operational discipline.
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental policies and ensure team compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, policies, and security requirements.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, production supervision, or operations leadership.
  • Experience in equipment, process, or production support environments preferred.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, process improvement methodologies, and production systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles (5S, standard work, continuous improvement).
  • Strong background in process optimization and production flow.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis, problem‑solving methodologies, and operational metrics.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering principles in a manufacturing setting.
