Job summary

Global Power Components is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead multiple teams on the Milwaukee shop floor and drive production efficiency. You will guide staff to meet schedules, oversee safety, and participate in continuous improvement efforts.

The role requires practical manufacturing experience, ability to read blueprints, and hands-on engagement across various production areas. This onsite position emphasizes teamwork and accountability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years on the shop floor in manufacturing.
• 2+ years in a leadership role managing teams on the production floor.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications.

Global Power Components is a privately held, financially sound, growing manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures, and modular metal enclosures for housing fully-equipped electrical distribution and control equipment. Due to tremendous growth, we are seeking Production Supervisors with a broad manufacturing background to be able to assist in many areas of our shop floor.Responsibilities:Lead various teams throughout the manufacturing facility and have the ability to lead by exampleAssist with tasks as necessary to complete assignmentsTrain and motivate staff to meet demanding production requirements and schedulesMay be asked to step in to any position, so should have variety of general manufacturing experienceTest products/equipment for defects/malfunctionsDrive a culture of safety and accountabilityCommunicate changes and updates to employees on processes and proceduresQualifications:Previous experience in a manufacturing facility on the shop floor for minimum of four (4) yearsLeadership position for a minimum of two (2) yearsAbility to measure, compare and make simple or complex shop calculations necessary to ensure products are in compliance with engineering or sales specifications using materials, methods and equipment generally found in a shop environment such as sanders, drills, air and electric hand cutting toolsPrevious experience working with and reading blueprintsPrevious experience in crane operationRigging experienceAbility to troubleshoot and solve problems in a variety of situations on the shop floorPrevious experience working with steel and or aluminumPrevious experience leading shop floor employees and motivating them to complete jobs in a timely manner and accurately to specificationsMust be flexible to updated changes in production schedulesMust be detail oriented to meet the needs of our customersMust be comfortable being in various areas of the production floor 100% of the time – this is NOT a desk job but a perfect position for someone who wants to get their hands dirty every day
