Job summary

Global Power Components is seeking a Production Planner to develop and manage master schedules for high‑volume parts, coordinating with production areas to align capacity with demand. You will drive on‑time delivery and improve scheduling processes across the plant.

Responsibilities include compiling schedules, tracking progress, coordinating with Procurement, Quality, and Logistics, and supporting continuous improvement in production control.

Qualifications

• Experience with production planning, scheduling, project management, or operations.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and project management tools.
• Proficient in Excel features such as tables, filters, and sorting; Smartsheet or Epicor preferred.

.Title: Production PlannerCompany: Global Power Components – www.globalpowercomponents.comLocation: Milwaukee, WI (onsite 5-days/week)Hire Type: Direct HireWill be responsible for demand planning on commonly used, high-volume parts. Work directly with our production areas to prioritize this demand into our machine capacities. Will be provided the training/tools necessary to be successful in this role.Overview:Global Power produces a wide variety of custom weld assemblies, fabricated metal buildings, and large complex assemblies of power equipment. Production Scheduler will organize and disseminate information to achieve maximum efficiency in production activities.Responsibilities:Compile information from a variety of sources into a master schedule.Improve communication methods and scheduling processes.Increase visibility of information to stakeholders on plant floor.Check progress of work on plant floor and report in master schedule.Assist in coordinating the flow of work and materials between departments.Evaluate ‘make-to-stock’ inventory and its impact on downstream production.Closely track status details on ‘high profile’ jobs to ensure timely delivery.Coordinate with Procurement, Quality, and Logistics to align production with material and capacity constraints.Perform administrative tasks as needed.Reports to Operations Manager, from within Production Control team.Analytical mindset; distill streams of information into useful, pertinent, actionable information for production supervisors. Astute attention to detail.Candidates must cooperatively function within a team of engineers & production personnel.Requirements:Associates/Bachelor’s Degree in; Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field (Or commensurate experience)Relevant experience in production planning, scheduling, project management, or operations.Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems, Project Management Tools, and Excel features such as tables, filters, and sorting. Familiarity with Smartsheet or Epicor preferred.Verbal & written communication skills. Professional demeanor.Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation between our three facilities (10 miles apart)
