Job summary

Bunge is seeking a Production Operations Supervisor in Longview, WA to oversee daily shift activities and drive plant productivity. You will monitor sanitation, safety, and quality programs while coordinating with the Plant Manager on annual shutdowns and improvements.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience) and flexibility to work 12-hour rotating shifts, weekends, and varying hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent progressive experience or 3 years of related industrial manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency with basic computer skills, including Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word and other technical software packages.
• Ability to work odd hours, weekends and rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Oversee assigned department production shift activities to ensure operations are efficient.
• Ensure shift is compliant with sanitation requirements and support monthly inspections and corrective actions.
• Commit to food safety culture and comply with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Approve daily reports and KPIs for the shift.
• Assist in planning annual plant shutdowns with Production Operations/Plant Manager.
• Coordinate with Safety/Environmental Manager for shift compliance.
• Develop and drive Operations Excellence Plans for safety, quality and production goals.
• Support continuous improvement activities and act as a change agent for shift changes.
• Monitor KPIs and align shift with Operations Excellence goals.
• Participate in personnel investigations and recommend corrective actions.

A Day in the Life:

Responsible for the safe and efficient supervision of day-to-day assigned operations department. Supporting the Production Operations Manager in monitoring and improving plant productivity.

Position Details: 12-hour rotating shift (48 hour week/36 hour week)

The compensation range for this position is$76,120.00-$85,680.00. In addition to the regular compensation, this role is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Oversee assigned department production shift activities to ensure operations are running at the highest levels of efficiency.
• Ensure assigned shift is compliant with sanitation requirements. May provide support in the monthly sanitation inspections and implementation of any corrective actions as necessary.
• Commitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture within the site, continually improve the site's food safety management system; and comply with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Approve daily reports and KPRs for the assigned shift.
• Provide Production Operations and/or Plant Manager to plan annual shutdowns.
• Work with the Safety/Environmental Manager to ensure compliance of assigned shift in all aspects.
• Help develop and drive Operations Excellence Plans to meet safety, quality and production goals and show continuous improvement in assigned shift.
• Support the continuous improvement activities and act as a change agent for any changes that occur in the assigned shift.
• Monitor KPR’s and help develop plans to bring assigned shift in line with Operations Excellence goals.
• Participate in personnel investigations and recommend corrective actions as necessary.

Skills/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field required, or equivalent progressive experience or 3 years of experience in related industrial manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency with basic computer skills, including Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word and other technical software packages, as needed
• Ability to work odd hours, weekends and rotating shift schedule required.
