Job summary

Bunge in Longview, WA is seeking a supervisor for the day-to-day operations of the assigned department with a 12-hour rotating shift. You will support the Production Operations Manager in monitoring and improving plant productivity.

You will ensure sanitation compliance, approve daily reports and KPIs, plan annual shutdowns, and drive Operations Excellence through continuous improvement in collaboration with Safety/Environmental, QA, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience (3 years in manufacturing environments).
• Proficiency with basic computer software (Lotus Notes, MS Word and similar).
• Ability to work odd hours, weekends and rotating shifts.

A Day in the Life

Responsible for the safe and efficient supervision of day-to-day assigned operations department. Supporting the Production Operations Manager in monitoring and improving plant productivity.

Position Details

12-hour rotating shift (48 hour week/36 hour week)

The compensation range for this position is $76,120.00-$85,680.00. In addition to the regular compensation, this role is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus.

What You'll Be Doing

• Oversee assigned department production shift activities to ensure operations are running at the highest levels of efficiency.
• Ensure assigned shift is compliant with sanitation requirements. May provide support in the monthly sanitation inspections and implementation of any corrective actions as necessary.
• Commitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture within the site, continually improve the site's food safety management system; and comply with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Approve daily reports and KPRs for the assigned shift.
• Provide Production Operations and/or Plant Manager to plan annual shutdowns.
• Work with the Safety/Environmental Manager to ensure compliance of assigned shift in all aspects.
• Help develop and drive Operations Excellence Plans to meet safety, quality and production goals and show continuous improvement in assigned shift.
• Support the continuous improvement activities and act as a change agent for any changes that occur in the assigned shift.
• Monitor KPRs and help develop plans to bring assigned shift in line with Operations Excellence goals.
• Participate in personnel investigations and recommend corrective actions as necessary.

Skills/Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field required, or equivalent progressive experience or 3 years of experience in related industrial manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency with basic computer skills, including Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word and other technical software packages, as needed
• Ability to work odd hours, weekends and rotating shift schedule required.
