Job Title: Manufacturing/Production Supervisor - 1st Shift

Reports To: Sr. Manager Manufacturing Operations, Foot & Ankle

Location: Houston (onsite)

Business Unit: Foot & Ankle

High-Level Position Summary

The Foot & Ankle division is seeking a leader for our day shift manufacturing team. Responsibilities include training personnel, troubleshooting issues, maintaining equipment, ensuring safety, interfacing with engineering, and making manufacturing decisions. The role offers a clean, air-conditioned environment and the opportunity to work in the orthopedic space.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage work orders and scheduling
• Ensure product quality and adherence to procedures
• Plan machining based on blueprints and specifications
• Set up and operate mills and lathes, including all three machine types
• Serve as a technical expert on the shop floor
• Verify settings and measurements for quality
• Monitor inventory and order stock as needed
• Detect and correct machine malfunctions
• Verify finished workpieces using precision instruments
• Install parts and test equipment functionality
• Collaborate with engineers and quality staff
• Participate in quality assurance activities
• Perform equipment maintenance
• Create setup sheets and write/modify CNC programs
• Train machinists and check program outputs
• Participate in product development manufacturing activities
• Set up, operate, troubleshoot CNC machines
• Analyze production data to improve processes
• Engage in performance improvement activities

Minimum Basic Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in manufacturing
• 5+ years CNC Swiss machine experience
• Familiarity with 5-7 axis CNC mills and lathes
• Proficiency in Solidworks and ESPRIT
• Ability to read and edit G-code
• Strong understanding of GD&T
• Solid mathematical skills
• Ability to read blueprints

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Frequent movement including standing, walking, reaching, climbing, kneeling
• Close vision and spatial judgment required
• Periodic weekend/evening work
