How this role will be impactful

Responsible for all activities involved in cut-up, rehang, and chiller operation. Ensures a safe, well-organized, efficient operation with minimal downtime; strictly adheres to company standards and procedures, customer specifications, and quality standards; complies with the department HACCP Plan, and maintains HACCP records. Assigns, trains, and monitors staff in accordance with company policies and government regulations.

  1. Coordinate line work to meet production orders with team members, including:

- Maintaining product quality standards.

- Ensuring department performance within standards for efficient use of resources.

- Reporting production-related information such as yields, efficiencies, and labor utilization to the Superintendent.

- Seeking continuous improvement opportunities, including lean manufacturing and TQM.

  • Ensure all production processes and products adhere to GMP standards, customer specifications, and HACCP compliance.
  • Ensure equipment and work areas are maintained and operate efficiently, in collaboration with maintenance staff and vendors.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with management and USDA representatives.
  • Set and uphold departmental performance standards.
  • Stay updated on management and process optimization developments.
  • Mentor and motivate approximately 35 team members, providing training and development.
  • Communicate performance standards, recognize achievements, and address performance issues.
  • Enforce safety regulations and practices.
  • Manage staffing, line coverage, and attendance.
  • Facilitate team meetings and training, ensuring documentation is maintained.
What You Bring to the Role
  • At least two years of supervisory experience in process optimization, operations, or business management.
  • Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to changes.
  • Positive attitude and strong commitment to quality.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to guide and influence team members positively.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
Additional Qualifications
  • Experience in food manufacturing.
  • Champion for safety, quality, and GMP standards.
Work Environment

Access to poultry production environment required. Must tolerate heat, wet, and chill conditions. Hearing and eye protection required, along with hair and beard nets in the production area.
