Job summary

Quality Talent Group is partnering with a global technology supplier in the building automation and heavy industry sector in Maryland. We seek an experienced supervisor to oversee start-up, operation, and maintenance of critical production systems within a cement-like plant environment.

The ideal candidate holds an associates/college degree, 5+ years of progressive leadership, and strong skills in Excel, SAP, Maximo, and related tools. Strong communication and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years related experience with demonstrated progression of increased responsibility, with at least 5 of those years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in a cement plant or other heavy industry is highly preferred.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform start-up, normal operation, and shutdown of the referenced systems.
• Perform equipment inspection, preventative and minor maintenance as well as general housekeeping and miscellaneous tasks associated with production.
• Execute quality checks to ensure the mill is operating within quality specifications and that inventory levels are maintained.
• Operates mobile equipment to ensure piles are maintained and the dryer and mills are fed.
• Ensure effective troubleshooting of any problems in the department and report findings to the Production Coordinator.
