Job summary

nVent is seeking a production leader in Missouri to guide daily manufacturing activities, train staff, and drive performance improvements. You will implement Lean methods, ensure safe operations, and collaborate on new process development.

This role offers opportunities to influence efficiency and quality across a global manufacturing network. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of manufacturing leadership and Lean experience, with a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Workday preferred.
• 3+ years manufacturing experience, with leadership experience preferred.
• 2+ years of Lean manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Directly lead production employees, including training, directing, educating, and mentoring on performance.
• Oversee day-to-day production activities to meet current commitments while improvements are being made.
• Use process center communication boards to monitor daily performance.
• Act as a change agent and drive waste reduction through Lean methodologies.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment and support safety programs.
• Review and submit payroll hours weekly, handling exception hours as needed.
• Support new process and product development and implementation.
• Develop key improvement projects and fulfill related duties as needed.

What You Will Experience In This Position

• Directly lead production employees, including training, directing, educating, and mentoring on performance.
• Look after day-to-day production activities to ensure that current commitments are achieved while improvements are being made.
• Handle daily performance through the use of process center communication boards daily.
• Be a change agent and drive out waste throughout the manufacturing operation through the deployment of the Lean methodology.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment for all employees, emphasizing prevention of potential problems and hazardous conditions, and supports nVent's safety programs.
• Review and submit payroll hours on a weekly basis, entering exception hours as needed.
• Support new process and product development and implementation.
• Develops key improvement projects and fulfills related duties as needed.

You Have

• High school diploma or equivalent experience such as G.E.D
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Workday preferred
• Ideally 3 plus years manufacturing experience, with a preference for manufacturing leadership experience preferred
• Ideally 2+ years of experience in Lean manufacturing, with a strong ability to articulate and apply Lean concepts and methodologies.
