Job summary

nVent is seeking an experienced manufacturing professional to support production planning, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders. The role emphasizes Lean principles and process improvements within a global manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will have an Associate degree and 5+ years in related roles, with strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and the ability to drive efficiency, safety, and quality on the shop floor.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
  • Ideally 5+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with managers and supervisors from other departments to coordinate needs and output.
  • Prioritize workloads and coordinate personnel to meet changing conditions and order deadlines.
  • Study production schedules to ensure accurate shop floor layouts and material accessibility for crews.
  • Assist with training and managing process improvements as recommended by the quality management system.
  • Support and train on changes in working conditions and equipment use to improve shop efficiency.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems; motivate workers to achieve goals and report malfunctions.
  • Interpret company policies to employees, implement safety regulations, and assist with performance evaluations.

What You Will Experience In This Role
  • Collaborate with managers, and supervisors from other departments coordinating supporting needs and output activities from those departments.
  • Assists with prioritizing workloads and the coordination of personnel requirements by increasing or decreasing personnel and overtime to meet changing conditions to ensure customer order deadlines are met.
  • Studies production schedules for accurate shop floor production layout and ensures materials needed are accessible to assigned builder crews.
  • Assists with training and managing process improvements as recommended through the quality management system.
  • Supports and trains on suggested changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. -Reports machine and equipment malfunctions.
  • Performs activities of employees supervised.
  • Interprets company policies to employees, implements safety regulations, and assists with performance evaluations.
You Have
  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
