Job description

This Production Supervisor position is with Kysor-Warren Epta, part of the global Epta Group, located in Columbus, Georgia. As a key member of our operations team, you will lead and coordinate manufacturing or distribution activities within a designated area. You’ll ensure safety, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards, while fostering a high-performance culture through coaching, training, and development.

Your contribution:

  • Supervise the safe and efficient production and/or distribution of goods in alignment with company standards and goals.
  • Plan, prioritize, and schedule team assignments to meet production targets.
  • Train, coach, and develop team members for operational success and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate required maintenance.
  • Manage the performance and morale of assigned team members.
  • Lead lean manufacturing initiatives and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet plant-wide goals.
  • Track KPIs including labor usage, material costs, and quality metrics to reduce waste and increase output.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations as well as the company code of ethics.
  • Participate in the hiring, training, and evaluation of staff.
  • Engage directly in operations when needed to resolve bottlenecks or address critical issues.
  • Enforce 6S workplace standards and promote good housekeeping.
  • Utilize IT systems to streamline production workflows and improve data accuracy.

You thrive in fast-paced environments and bring strong leadership and problem-solving abilities. You’re passionate about team development and operational excellence. Additionally, you have the following:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • Knowledge in fabrication, welding, assembly, paint finishing, or refrigeration systems is highly valued.
  • Proficiency in using IT tools related to production and operations.
