Job Summary

Job Responsibilities:

1. Manage operating team to ensure plant performance, including the development and execution of plant and team KPIs.
2. Provide leadership to direct reports, including facilitating training and career development, setting and reviewing performance goals, providing feedback and recognition, coaching, and counseling.
3. Manage and drive improvements in an operating area of the facility, including equipment reliability/uptime, facility cleanliness/GMP, and safety.
4. Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance workflows for routine tasks and departmental projects.
5. Investigate and resolve production issues such as scheduling delays, process upsets, equipment failures, collaborating with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and QA/QC teams.
6. Ensure compliance with EH&S guidelines and requirements.
7. Support team building activities within the department and the plant.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in a science-related field preferred.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience, ideally overseeing liquid processing in a food, pharma, or chemical plant.
• 2+ years of manufacturing plant leadership experience.
• Working knowledge of SAP.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
• Experience in liquid manufacturing/processing; familiarity with planning & scheduling, RCFA, PSM, 5S, and World Class Continuous Improvement are assets.

Working Schedule:

This is a Monday through Friday day position supporting a 24/7/365 operating facility. Flexibility to work early or after hours occasionally, and to take calls as required.
