We are hiring a Production Supervisor to join our Manufacturing Operations team.

Job Summary

The Production Supervisor oversees all production activities, manages the control of production processes, and develops employees on their shift. They ensure production schedules and requirements are met and handle other daily functions as directed by Manufacturing Management.

Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities

• Supervise daily and monthly tasks within manufacturing and operations, ensuring accountability for all activities in production areas.
• Support safety and cGMP programs, ensuring compliance with FDA and cGMP guidelines.
• Implement operational plans to optimize equipment and personnel capacity to meet delivery deadlines.
• Maintain computerized inventory transactions to ensure compliance and provide data for logistics and finance.
• Report deviations promptly and work to minimize downtime.
• Assist with experimental and validation projects using process equipment and facilities.
• Ensure processes follow SOPs to maintain product quality.
• Monitor facility and equipment status, coordinate repairs, and prevent damage.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Decide on production shutdowns when necessary.
• Investigate manufacturing discrepancies and coordinate with QA for resolution.
• Write and revise SOPs and Batch Production Records to ensure compliance.
• Monitor QC data and adjust operations accordingly.
• Identify and purchase items for process improvements.
• Train and evaluate operators, involving them in system improvements.
• Recruit personnel following HR guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management.
• Manage personnel activities, attendance, and resource planning.
• Participate in developing operational methods and procedures.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Associates degree with 4+ years or Bachelor's degree with 2+ years in manufacturing, preferably in pharma, OR 7+ years in manufacturing.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to organize, plan, and control operations.
• Knowledge of cGMP compliance.
• Flexibility to work any shift with short notice.
• Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets.
• Basic mathematical skills.

Physical Demands

This role requires frequent sitting, manual dexterity, reaching, and occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 30 pounds. Vision abilities include close, peripheral, and color vision, with the ability to focus.
