Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience with precision CNC manufacturing equipment, materials, processes, and systems in versatile manufacturing environments.
• 2-5 years of leadership experience with teams of 10 employees or greater.
• Able prioritize work, meet deadlines, make effective and timely decisions and work with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications preferred.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate departmental activities to optimize schedule attainment with consideration of safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Analyze production dashboard reports daily to measure productivity and throughput goals.
• Provide effective communication with direct reports through daily check-ins and team meetings to address issues.
• Partner with Operations Manager and Scheduling on issues to overcome and optimize machines, equipment, and resources.
• Ensure shift administrative activities such as time reporting, attendance control, time off requests, overtime, etc.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and interfaces with all departments to achieve goals.
• Identify and implement Continuous Improvement, 5S and good housekeeping standards.
• Participate in operational meetings and communicate shop floor status.
• Coordinate hand-offs of work-in-process between shifts to maintain efficiency.
• Monitor and drive cost reductions (waste, scrap, damage, rework).
• Lead and promote safety initiatives and participate in safety committee.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, and training employees and ensure proper training on SOPs.
• Communicate expectations, measure, and assess employee performance.

In this role, you will oversee production employees and drive overall department performance, serving as a leader for safety, quality, productivity, housekeeping, and company values while promoting positive employee relations. You will be responsible for managing production schedules and assigning work to ensure parts and assemblies are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to exact specifications.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30AM-3:30PM

Pay:$26-$32/hour + overtime opportunity

Responsibilities

• Coordinate departmental activities to optimize schedule attainment with consideration of safety, quality, delivery, and cost
• Analyze and act on production dashboard reports (KPI???s) daily to measure and ensure effectiveness, productivity, and throughput goals are met
• Provide effective communication with direct reports through, daily check-in???s and team meetings to address and resolve any issues and concerns
• Partner with Operations Manager and Scheduling on issues and obstacles to overcome and work to ensure all machines, equipment, and resources are optimized.
• Ensure shift administrative activities such as time reporting, attendance control, time off requests, overtime, etc. are properly implemented and documented
• Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and interfaces with all departments within the organization to achieve goals and objectives.
• Identify and assign Continuous Improvement, effective 5S and good housekeeping standards and ensure goals are being met
• Actively participates operational meetings, prepared to communicate what is going well and challenges on the shop floor
• Coordinates a seamless hand-off of work-in-process to the next shift, works collaboratively and proactively with other supervisors to ensure work continues to run efficiently throughout the shop
• Monitor and drive cost reductions, such as waste, scrap, damage, and rework
• Lead and promote safety initiatives, participates in the company safety committee
• Participates in interviewing, hiring, and training employees; ensure employees receive adequate training prior to operating any of the manufacturing equipment and that they follow the standard operating procedures and work instructions
• Communicate expectations, measure, and assess employee performance

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Two-year Technical degree and business courses beneficial
• 4+ years' experience with precision CNC manufacturing equipment, materials, processes, and systems in versatile manufacturing environments strongly preferred
• 2-5 years of leadership experience with teams of 10 employees or greater preferred
• Able prioritize work, meet deadlines, make effective and timely decisions and work with a sense of urgency
• Ability to analyze production data/reports to assess impact on throughput, efficiencies, and other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Strong business judgment, along with technical understanding of machining and finishing processes
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications preferred
• Identifies and analyzes problems; distinguishes between relevant and irrelevant information to make logical decisions; provides solutions to individual and organizational problems
• Ability to express ideas, share information, listen actively, and demonstrate professionalism in written and verbal communications
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling employee relation situations
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)
