Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to coordinate production activities under the production manager, ensuring safe, efficient, and quality-driven operations. The role involves managing molding and finishing processes, leading a team of mechanics, operators, and utilities, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications include 4–6 years in manufacturing, ability to lift up to 35 lbs, and proficient English communication.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee production (people and processes) per policies and procedures.
  • Operate injection molding equipment and sustain mold cycles for high cavitation/high-volume work.
  • Direct lining, assembly, and finishing operations; maintain efficiency and rates.
  • Lead and train manufacturing staff; participate in cross-functional process improvement teams.
  • Uphold 5S, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements; address inquiries and resolve issues.

Sustain the established molding process and cycle time reductions on high cavitation / high volume single face and stack molds. Skilled in the operation of lining and assembly equipment. Sustain the established rates on the finishing machines. Provides direction, training, coaching, and leadership to manufacturing staff (mechanics, utility and service workers, operators, etc) Implements plans for efficient use of resources including materials, equipment and personnel. Troubleshoots and directs repairs to injection and finishing as needed resulting from root cause analysis to determine what actions can be taken immediately and/or what appropriate personnel need to be called. Leads and participates in cross functional process improvement teams. Actively participates in daily team production meetings – communicates key items within the plant environment on safety, quality, maintenance, production and continuous improvement. Completes QRQC when assigned. Responsible for 5S environment in work area. Address employee inquiries, complaints and resolves problems by using appropriate resources / other departments to achieve results / answers Sets / communicates clear expectations and holds personnel accountable for attaining those standards Adheres to plant and corporate safety policies. Accepts responsibility to comply with all safety, quality, customer, ISO, SQF and any other regulatory requirements. And has the authority to report concerns that could impact these requirements or suggest areas for improvement. Perform other duties as required.QUALIFICATIONS:Possesses well-developed communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates organizational skills and is very detail oriented. Professional with at least 4-6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing and lifting. Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs. Ability to speak, read, and write English. Ability to work in a fast paced and multi-task environment. Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
