Job summary

Perdue Farms is seeking a Production Superintendent to provide operational leadership across multiple production lines, aligning safety, quality, and productivity with plant goals. The role acts as a liaison between frontline Supervisors and plant leadership, guiding training, development, and performance across the team.

The position emphasizes mentoring, workforce planning, and a strong safety culture, with responsibility for associate growth and engagement and for stepping in as Plant Manager

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with 2–4 years in a supervisory role
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree with manufacturing leadership experience
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Proficiency in lean manufacturing, root cause analysis, and ERP systems
• In-depth knowledge of quality control processes and compliance standards (ISO, OSHA)
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational and time management skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, lead and support Production Supervisors in achieving daily and weekly production targets
• Support workforce planning, training, and succession development to build a strong leadership pipeline
• Mentor and coach team members to enhance skills and improve performance
• Foster an inclusive, engaged team culture aligned with company values and leadership behaviours
• Serve as acting Plant Manager when needed and contribute to strategic planning sessions
• Drive safety culture and continuous improvement across production
• Lead corrective actions, waste reduction, and quality initiatives
