About the Opportunity
  • Job Title: Production Specialist
  • Pay Rate Range: $20.00-$25.00/hr
  • Location: Chaska, MN
  • Schedule: 1st Shift Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM (optional overtime)
  • Position Type: Temp to Hire
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, procedures, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-1 and short group situations to other employees of the organization
  • Ability to measure quickly and accurately to 1/16th of an inch
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings or blueprints
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or-two-step instructions
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
  • Experience and confidence with hand and power tools
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
  • Frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Occasionally required to sit
  • Frequently must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds by self
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Participate in the production and assembly of custom water purification systems using existing mechanical skills and new industry-specific skills taught on the job
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to determine size and type of material needed
  • Configure items for proper fitment
  • Bolts, glues, screws, or otherwise fasten parts together
  • Fabricate according to specifications, drawings and/or verbal direction
  • Operate machines required to perform production work of assembling parts
  • Test fitment of parts before modifying pieces and parts
  • Measure, cut and fasten plumbing materials such as PVC pipe, stainless steel pipe, copper pipe or other galvanized materials
  • Fasten and secure customized production material onto custom frames
  • Test equipment to ensure proper functionality
  • Assist with preparing systems and loose equipment to go out for shipment
  • Help with receiving material and items and follow proper procedures
Miscellaneous Duties and Responsibilities
  • Other tasks, duties and projects as assigned
  • Organize production parts and inventory according to established practices and procedures
  • Participate in cross-training activities to assist in other areas of production when needed
