Job summary

Nikkiso Clean Energy and Industrial Gases is seeking a Production Shop Manager in Escondido, CA to lead fabrication, assembly, and production planning. You will direct multiple teams to meet safety, quality, and output targets while coordinating with Safety, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams.

The role emphasizes KPI-driven management, cost control, and continuous improvement through Lean Six Sigma, GMP, 5S, and Kaizen principles. A strong background in ASME B31.3 and P&ID is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, industrial or related engineering discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum ten years’ experience in manufacturing operations with at least five years of management experience.
• Well versed in ASME B31.3 Process Piping and B31 Section VIII Pressure Vessel requirements.
• Complete understanding of P&ID and Fabrication Drawings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MRP/ERP software, and Project Management software.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective team leadership during change and ramp up in a manufacturing/assembly environment.
• Develop and implement system-level solutions to optimize efficiency and resource utilization.
• Drive KPI’s across production areas while maintaining safety, quality and budgeted targets.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities with Safety, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Procurement.
• Ensure projects are delivered with high quality on time and within budget.
