Job summary

Novolex is a leading manufacturer of food, beverage, and specialty packaging that serves multiple industries, including foodservice and retail. The Production Supervisor will oversee a shift, drive productivity and cost efficiency while upholding quality and safety standards.

This role involves supervising 40+ employees, coordinating with the Scheduler on daily production requirements, and hiring/training staff. SAP experience and strong communication are preferred for success in this position.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree preferred (business, engineering)
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Good verbal & interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all production shift activities to maximize productivity and control costs
• Typically supervises 40 plus employees
• Coordinate with Scheduler to meet daily production requirements
• Interview, hire and train employees; plan, assign and direct work
• Appraise performance; reward and discipline employees
• Ensure daily production data is gathered and reported accurately
• Support and improve quality initiatives to meet plant goals
• Ensure safety programs are implemented and reviewed regularly
