Description

Summary

The Production Service Supervisor directs and supervises kitchen service activities and the delivery of food to patient floors in collaboration with departmental leadership.

Responsibilities

1. Coordinate the setup and delivery of food to patients and other nutrition services. Assist in developing plans, methods, and procedures for improving departmental operations, including quality improvement processes.
2. Ensure dietetic information used by kitchen personnel is accurate. Tallies portions and types of foods for each diet type (regular or modified). Process new diets and changes as required.
3. Coordinate loading, delivery, and pickup of food carts on schedule. Assist to expedite workflow in kitchen and food service. Prepare individual menus for meal trays.
4. Ensure compliance with policy and regulatory standards, including health regulations and JCAHO standards. Maintain current ServSafe Manager Level Certification. Enforce a "clean as you go" and proper food handling culture.
5. Train, orient, direct, and supervise kitchen service associates. Participate in hiring and performance management. Conduct staff meetings as necessary.
6. Make recommendations for purchasing capital equipment and measures to control food cost waste and asset management.

Qualifications
