Group Health Customer Service Representative Supervisor

Job Summary
The CSR Supervisor is responsible for managing various aspects of the medical file review process, including intake, turn-around time, and supervision of the Customer Service Representative team.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Oversight of Case Handling
    • Ensure proper notation and timely processing of cases during file review.
    • Provide guidance on case assignment and process handling questions.
    • Conduct monthly audits to ensure goals are met, providing coaching and training as needed.
    • Resolve issues brought to the supervisor's attention.
  2. Coaching
    • Train new team members on workflows, processes, and client-specific requirements.
    • Hold one-on-one meetings for progress updates and feedback.
    • Participate in staff performance reviews and contribute to hiring and firing decisions.
  3. Client Interaction
    • Provide regular updates to clients on ongoing cases.
    • Respond to client inquiries regarding referral information, ensuring proper documentation.
    • Ensure complex cases are well-documented for clients.
    • Deliver exceptional customer service.

Other duties and special projects as assigned based on business needs.

Requirements

Education/Credentials: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience: Supervisory or team management experience is critical. Healthcare or insurance industry experience is preferred.

Skills/Competencies: Strong communication, critical thinking, time management, and computer literacy skills. Typing skills are essential.

Working Conditions: Includes lifting, bending, travel, and long periods of sitting and computer work.

Work from Home Tech Requirements: Must provide and support own internet, maintaining an uninterrupted connection.
