LS Cable & System USA seeks a Production Planner to join our team. Under the Production Planning Manager, you will plan and schedule work centers to meet customer orders while considering machine capabilities and capacity.

You will coordinate production loads with shipping and manufacturing, analyze order releases, and drive on-time delivery using Lean methods and continuous improvement. A STEM-lean background and ERP experience are valued.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; STEM major a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years' work experience in scheduling and inventory control in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) is essential.
  • Understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles is a plus.

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Planner to join our team. Under the general direction of the Production Planning Manager, this role is responsible for planning and scheduling work centers to ensure timely and efficient production. The ideal candidate will coordinate production loads based on customer orders and plant reorder reports, considering machine capabilities and capacity, while collaborating closely with shipping and manufacturing teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage production schedules to ensure 100% on-time delivery of customer orders.
  • Analyze sales order releases for capacity planning and material requirements.
  • Input shipping information and delivery dates accurately.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, purchasing, and shipping departments to resolve planning issues.
  • Communicate production progress to support departments and management.
  • Identify and solve production-related problems using Lean and continuous improvement methods.
  • Prepare and maintain production reports and daily schedules.

  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
