Job Disclosure

This position is for second shift hours from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, with an initial training period of 3 weeks from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Job Summary

This position involves operating the bolt saw and cutting threaded rod to specified lengths, interpreting orders to determine the required bolt lengths.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive and complete bolt job orders.
• Retrieve appropriate bolt materials from storage.
• Load materials onto the bolt saw.
• Operate chamfer and stamping machines.
• Notify lead person for PMI testing of materials before manufacturing.
• Cut bolt materials to specified lengths using the bolt saw.
• Read and understand measuring tools such as tape measures and rulers.
• Assemble bolts and nuts using the bolt assembly table or by hand.
• Package bolts to prevent damage during handling.
• Record completed bolt orders in the logbook.
• Deliver materials to the bolt assembler.
• Use forklift or tow motor to transfer and load materials as needed.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations, and understand quality policies and systems.
• Perform physical counts of bolt materials.
• Properly store and dispose of scrap/drops.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Work Experience

• 1-2 years of manufacturing experience with responsibility for operating manufacturing equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, climb, bend, stoop, push, and pull.
• Prolonged standing and walking.
• Work with weights of 10-50 pounds or lighter weights continuously.
• Good eye/hand/foot coordination.
• Ability to work in cold, hot, dusty, and noisy environments.
• Operate machine tools where handling time exceeds operation time.
• Must be able to become forklift certified.

Compensation

• $23.00 - $26.00/hour based on experience.
