Job Summary

We are seeking a Production Sanitation Technician for a contract/temporary opportunity in East Setauket, NY. This hands-on manufacturing role supports production, sanitation, batch operations, and packaging activities within an agricultural chemical manufacturing environment.

This is a strong opportunity for candidates with 1 to 2 years of production, manufacturing, sanitation, or equipment support experience who enjoy active work, structured processes, and team-based operations. The work environment emphasizes safety, quality, training, and clear direction from experienced Operators and Supervisors. Candidates can expect supportive leadership, steady weekday shifts, and the opportunity to build practical manufacturing skills in a regulated production setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize manufacturing areas, process equipment, product containers, and related workspaces.
• Support batch, formulation, and production operations under the direction of an Operator or Supervisor.
• Assist with packing activities, including handling bags, drums, jugs, labels, and finished materials.
• Maintain safe, clean, organized work areas while following site safety, security, environmental, and quality procedures.
• Perform physically active production tasks, including lifting, carrying, standing, and climbing stairs as needed.
• Complete assigned training and support additional manufacturing tasks as directed.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay: $27 to $30 per hour.
• Location: East Setauket, NY.
• Job Type: Contract/Temporary.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday.
• Available Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
• Available Shift: 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
• Occasional weekends or extended hours may be required as needed.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Clean and sanitize production areas, process equipment, and product containers.
• Support batch, formulation, packing, labeling, and pack-off activities.
• Handle manufacturing materials such as bags, drums, jugs, and related containers.
• Follow safety, quality, environmental, productivity, and conduct standards.
• 1 to 2 years of related production, manufacturing, sanitation, or operations experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions, procedures, and required training.
• Ability to lift and handle at least 50 lbs.
• Comfortable with physical work, including standing, lifting, carrying, and climbing stairs.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and reliability.
• Must be willing to work the assigned Monday through Friday shift and occasional weekends or extended hours as needed.
• Must be able to successfully complete a background check, drug screen, pre-employment physical, and any required medical evaluations.
• Must be able to complete respirator clearance if required for the position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, chemical, agricultural chemical, food production, pharmaceutical, or industrial production environment.
• Experience with equipment cleaning, production sanitation, batch support, formulation support, packing, labeling, or material handling.
• Familiarity with regulated production environments that require strict safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
• Strong attendance, attention to detail, and willingness to learn multiple production support tasks.
