Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to design, build, integrate and deploy agentic AI solutions for client environments. You will own end-to-end delivery from discovery to production rollout, working across major stacks like Claude, OpenAI, Google and Microsoft.

You will collaborate with customer teams, balance fast prototyping with production-quality engineering, and ensure governance, reliability and security in deployments.

Qualifications

• Several years of production software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with Python, TypeScript or Java.
• Experience building with LLMs and agents on major platforms.
• Experience with APIs, databases, cloud platforms or deployment environments.

Responsibilities

• Build agentic AI solutions, single and multi-agent systems, and production prototypes.
• Work with Claude/OpenAI/Google/Microsoft stacks and vendor-neutral options as needed.
• Collaborate with customer teams to understand systems, data, deployment paths and needs.
• Use coding agents with review, tests, and release discipline.
• Integrate agents with enterprise systems, APIs, cloud services, and security controls.
• Implement agent evaluations, observability hooks and runbooks for production readiness.
• Troubleshoot deployment, data, model and integration issues.
• Create reusable patterns, starter kits and playbooks with decisions and lessons learned.
