Status: Ongoing recruitment, entry date flexible

Summary

Plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plans and conducts analysis, inspection, and tests to assure product quality, including incoming inspection, first/last piece inspection, and IP testing.
  • Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods to analyze data, evaluate current processes, and implement process changes.
  • Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, following company policies and procedures.
  • Contributes to reducing failure costs such as scrap, downtime, and rework.
  • Prepares reports to communicate quality assurance activities, issues, and solutions, including documentation in LISP.
  • Writes sorting orders (SOs) for reporting defective materials to the SQE team.
  • Directs technical and administrative staff engaged in quality assurance tasks.
  • Maintains knowledge of relevant government, customer, and industry quality standards.
  • Stops production in case of non-conformity.
  • Supports production when quality issues are supplier- or process-related.
  • Manages storage and flow of nonconforming and suspect materials.
  • Supports assembly of high-quality products, achieving SQDC targets by representing Quality in SQDC.
  • Uses problem-solving methodologies to address ongoing issues on the shop floor.

Education and/or Experience: Associates degree or two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
