Job summary

Oerlikon is seeking a Process Operator at our Westbury, NY facility. Under close supervision, you will setup and operate all equipment in the production environment, monitor product quality, and implement process changes per SOPs.

Maintain a clean and safe workspace while reporting status and deviations to the shift supervisor. The role requires reading and comprehending English instructions, basic math, and a minimum of two years in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Must read/comprehend written and verbal instruction in English.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience or similar.
• Must be able to operate forklifts and experience with electric hoists/cranes is preferred.
• Must have basic math skills to work with weights and volumes.

Responsibilities

• Reports to shift supervisor on production status, problems, and deviations.
• Reads and applies specifications to determine equipment settings.
• Examine material to ensure conformance to standards.
• Maintains processing reports and batch records.
• Ensure correct materials are used per production records and planner schedule.
• Identify and label all materials in process.
• Follow safety rules and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
