Job summary

Oerlikon is seeking a Process Operator for our Westbury, NY facility. Under close supervision, you will set up and operate all equipment in the production environment, monitor product quality, and implement process changes per SOPs while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions in English.
• Must have basic math skills for weights and volumes.
• Must work well in a team and follow instructions.
• Experience operating manufacturing equipment such as vibratory screening units is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Reports to shift supervisor on production status, problems, and deviations.
• Reads and applies specifications to determine equipment settings.
• Examine material to ensure conformance to standards.
• Maintain batch records and processing reports.
• Ensure correct materials are used per production records and planner schedule.
• Identify and label all materials in process.
• Follow safety rules and correct unsafe conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
