Job summary

Cloudflare engineers are seeking a highly motivated software engineer to join the Production Platform Organization. You will build infrastructure to collect, store, and make reliability data accessible for monitoring needs, working with Product Managers and Site Reliability Engineers on service quality for enterprise customers.

You will define reliability metrics, collaborate with multiple engineering teams to understand system interactions, and contribute to evolving reliability practices

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a software engineer or similar role developing and maintaining distributed systems.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and highly-available distributed systems.
• Programming experience in Go, Rust, or Python.

Responsibilities

• Build the Platform: Create and maintain production reliability testing infrastructure and availability reporting.
• Define Reliability Metrics: Measure uptime metrics and develop SLI/SLO plans to verify systems operate as expected.
• Collaborate across engineering: Understand how systems function and interact with others in production at scale.
• Communicate and improve: Provide clear feedback to engineering and product teams and drive reliability improvements.
