Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and scale internal platforms and tools that power infrastructure operations. You will treat operational challenges as software problems, creating reliable, fast, and developer-friendly platforms.

You will architect scalable services and APIs, improve developer workflows, and apply best practices across CI/CD, testing, and observability to keep our global network resilient.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building production software for backend systems, APIs, or developer platforms.
• Strong proficiency in modern programming languages (Go, Python, Java, or Rust).
• Experience with infrastructure as code and interacting with infrastructure APIs.

Responsibilities

• Architect, write, and maintain scalable services, APIs, and tools to automate provisioning and runtime operations.
• Develop platform software and self‑service tools to reduce operational toil for engineering teams.
• Apply standard software engineering practices: modular design, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD.
