Job summary

The role collaborates with Product Manufacturing, Planning, Scheduling, Procurement, Project Management, Engineering and Configuration Control to implement a cohesive production planning strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or technical degree required.
• 5-7 years production planning experience in an engineer-to-order environment.
• 3-5 years management experience with 3-5 direct reports.
• MRP/ERP system experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to quickly grasp new technologies amid changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Production Planners team, including recruiting, training, and performance management.
• Drive optimization of the MRP/ERP system.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Purchasing and Master Scheduler to ensure accurate material planning.
• Track material movements through the shops.
• Ensure production leads have necessary resources to complete jobs.
• Cover peak workloads and absences as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
