BorgWarner Arden is seeking a Materials Intern to join the Materials Management team in Arden, NC. You will gain hands-on experience managing the full program lifecycle with a focus on inventory optimization, E&O disposition, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, operations, and suppliers.

This internship is ideal for students studying Supply Chain or related fields who enjoy analytics, Excel, and steady problem solving.

Qualifikationen

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; data analysis experience preferred.
• Effective communication and strong follow-up skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred experience: inventory management, MRP, or manufacturing operations; SAP/ERP systems.

Aufgaben

• Manage excess and obsolete inventory: analyze data to identify E&O risks and support disposition plans.
• Execute change management: create and process change cases to obsolete finished goods and materials, track approvals.
• Collaborate cross-functionally: partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Scheduling, and Logistics.
• Engage with suppliers: develop part-specific disposition plans including return, rework, or usage options.
• Analyze and report data: maintain tracking tools and dashboards for E&O and lifecycle activities.
• Support material flow execution: assist with storage, transfer, and shipment planning.
