Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Production Planning Coordinator in Lancaster, SC. The role offers a competitive pay rate and standard Monday–Friday hours (8 AM–4 PM).

You will manage production schedules, coordinate with multiple departments, and ensure timely customer deliveries while maintaining data accuracy and inventory controls. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in production planning or related roles, strong Excel/Outlook skills, and familiarity with ERP systems like IQMS.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree or post‑secondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  • 2–3 years of experience in production scheduling, customer service, sales support, operations coordination, or a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with production planning and scheduling in a manufacturing setting.
  • Inventory control and cycle count experience required.
  • Experience using ERP or manufacturing software such as IQMS or similar systems.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook skills.
  • Experience analyzing operational or sales data is preferred.
  • Packaging industry experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and maintain production schedules to meet delivery requirements.
  • Monitor progress and adjust schedules as priorities change.
  • Communicate schedule changes, delays, and material constraints.
  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Respond to pricing, order status, lead times, and delivery inquiries.
  • Coordinate inventory control activities and cycle count administration.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and support corrective actions.
  • Assist with physical inventory counts and inventory audits.
  • Review production capacity and communicate schedule updates to customers and internal teams.
  • Support pricing, quotation requests, and production reporting activities.
  • Maintain accurate customer, sales, scheduling, and order data within company systems.
  • Analyze customer and sales data to support operational decision‑making.
  • Prepare reports and documentation for management.
  • Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.

Pay Rate: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour | Monday‑Friday | 8 AM‑4 PM

Education Requirements

Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
  • Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, telephone, and office equipment.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry materials weighing up to 20–60 pounds.
  • Ability to move between office and production areas as needed.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety eyewear and hearing protection, when entering production areas.
  • Ability to work in environments with elevated noise levels.
