Job summary

Staffmark is seeking a Production Operator for Lancaster, SC, offering direct-hire employment. The role involves operating and adjusting manufacturing and packaging equipment to meet daily goals, while adhering to SOPs and cGMP standards to ensure product quality.

Pay starts at $20.00 per hour, with a raise to $20.50 after four months and additional shift differentials of $1 for 2nd shift and $1.50 for 3rd shift. Schedule: 2nd Shift Mon-Thu 3:15 PM–11:30 PM and Fridays 3:15 PM–10:15 PM.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Basic computer skills for production documentation and recordkeeping.
  • Strong math and mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • Knowledge of cGMP and manufacturing quality standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, monitor, and adjust manufacturing and packaging equipment to meet daily production goals.
  • Follow SOPs, cGMP requirements, and safety guidelines to produce high-quality products.
  • Review batch records, inventory sheets, and production documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Measure, verify, and transport raw materials while maintaining proper documentation and inventory control.
  • Clean production equipment and manufacturing areas according to sanitation procedures and quality standards.
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance, identify issues, and report discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Complete production, packaging, and quality records accurately and on time.
  • Support team operations by training new employees and promoting a safe, productive environment.

Education Requirements

Experience Requirements
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, dietary supplement, food production, manufacturing, packaging, or machine operation preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment is beneficial.
  • Ability to read and follow written work instructions, batch records, SOPs, logbooks, and inventory documents.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards.
Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and climb stairs throughout an 8-hour shift.
  • Frequently lift, pull, push, and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, masks, gloves, uniforms, and safety shoes.
  • Comfortable working around raw materials, manufacturing equipment, and cleaning chemicals.
