Job summary

PrecisionX Group is seeking a Planning Coordinator to develop, maintain, and optimize production schedules. The role ensures on-time delivery, efficient resource use, and seamless cross-department coordination in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will monitor workloads, adjust plans for downtime, material delays, or staffing changes, and track throughput and schedule adherence. A background in supply chain and ERP/MRP systems is preferred.

Position Summary

The Planning Coordinator will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing production schedules to ensure on‑time delivery, efficient use of resources, and smooth coordination across departments. Essential Functions
  • Create and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on demand, capacity, and material availability
  • Coordinate closely with production, procurement, quality, and shipping teams to align schedules with business priorities
  • Monitor work orders and adjust schedules in response to machine downtime, staffing changes, or material delays
  • Track key production metrics (throughput, on‑time completion, schedule adherence) and report on performance
  • Identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency
  • Maintain accurate data in the ERP/MRP system related to scheduling, work orders, and inventory
  • Communicate schedule changes clearly to relevant stakeholders and shift leads
  • Support inventory and capacity planning as needed
Key Responsibilities
  • Experience in production scheduling, planning, or a related manufacturing role (experience level flexible — we welcome candidates ranging from early‑career to more seasoned planners)
  • Knowledge and expertise in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (SAP, Oracle, Visual)
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple priorities at once
  • Solid analytical skills — comfortable working with spreadsheets and production data
  • Clear communicator who can work cross‑functionally with production floor staff and management
  • Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to adapt quickly when plans change

Education/Background

  • Any coursework or certification in supply chain (APICS CPIM, etc.) stands out
Work Environment

This position involves working in a manufacturing environment that is adjacent to the shop work environment. The employee must be aware of potential hazards, including, but not limited to, working in close proximity to moving mechanical parts, operating vehicles, exposure to electrical current, high temperatures, and chemicals. It's important to maintain a high level of alertness and caution while performing tasks in this work environment.

Salary Description

$26.92 to $33.65 per hour
