Job summary

AtWork Group is seeking a detail-oriented Production Planner / Work Order Coordinator in Stockton, CA. You will create, release, and track work orders from initiation to completion using an MRP/ERP system, coordinating with multiple departments to maintain production schedules.

The role requires 2–5 years of manufacturing MRP/ERP experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with MS Office. This is a full-time, on-site position with a typical Monday–Friday schedule and temp-to-hire

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience using an MRP/ERP system in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience as a Production Planner, Materials Planner, or Work Order Coordinator preferred.

Production Planner / Work Order Coordinator

Location: Stockton, CA Pay:$22.00 -$29.00 per hour Based on experience Schedule: Full-Time - Monday– Friday -Temp to Hire

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Planner / Work Order Coordinator to support manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for creating, releasing, tracking, and managing work orders from initiation through completion using an MRP/ERP system. The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience, understands production and materials flow, and can effectively coordinate with multiple departments to keep production schedules on track.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, release, monitor, and update work orders in accordance with production schedules and MRP requirements.
• Track work orders from material kitting through final completion and closure.
• Follow up and expedite work orders through all manufacturing operations to meet established deadlines.
• Coordinate with shared work centers to support manufacturing activities and maintain production schedules.
• Identify and coordinate material shortages, replacements, and availability issues with program teams and inventory personnel.
• Monitor work-in-progress (WIP), inventory levels, and material availability to ensure accuracy.
• Communicate work order status, potential delays, and production concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Generate shipping documentation through the MRP system.
• Proactively identify production bottlenecks and help resolve scheduling or material-related issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2– 5 years of experience using an MRP/ERP system in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience as a Production Planner, Materials Planner, Work Order Coordinator, or similar role preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain concepts, and materials flow.
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to multitask, work independently, and prioritize competing deadlines.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
