Opti Staffing Group partners with a NE Portland precision manufacturing client to hire a Production Planner / Sales Support. The role blends scheduling with direct customer communication to keep orders moving smoothly from quote to delivery.

You will coordinate production plans, use ERP systems, and collaborate with production, purchasing, and operations teams to maintain accurate lead times and keep customers informed.

• Coordinate production schedules to ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on time.
• Utilize ERP systems to manage work orders, track inventory, monitor production progress, and maintain accurate records.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers regarding order updates, timelines, and production-related questions.
• Work closely with production, purchasing, and operations teams to prioritize jobs and maintain workflow.
• Monitor material availability, production capacity, and scheduling requirements.
• Process incoming customer orders and communicate changes or adjustments to production schedules.
• Identify potential scheduling conflicts, material shortages, or production delays and assist in finding solutions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and provide updates on order status, lead times, and delivery expectations.
• Support continuous improvement efforts to streamline scheduling and customer service processes.
