Job summary

WilliamsRDM, Inc. in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Production Planner to manage day-to-day production control, scheduling, and monitoring to meet delivery dates.

The role collaborates with Purchasing, Inventory, Shipping/Receiving, Operations, Quality, and Contracts, reporting to the Director of Operations. The candidate will develop and maintain the production schedule, drive material flow to the floor, and resolve schedule risks before they affect customer deliveries.

Qualifications

• At least five years of total manufacturing experience with two years in production planning/scheduling.
• Experience with machining and electro/mechanical assembly; lean manufacturing preferred.
• Knowledge of purchasing, inventory, and shipping/receiving and how they affect schedules.
• Experience using ERP/MRP software, preferably ECi M1 ERP.
• Proven ability to drive schedule commitments across departments without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Review new contracts and customer orders to evaluate delivery schedule requirements and communicate concerns to contracts.
• Create, release, and schedule production jobs for customer orders.
• Schedule jobs for customer RMAs and returned material as they are received.
• Run the MRP tool, validate results, and schedule lower level jobs as needed.
• Maintain and publish the production schedule balancing demand with labor and capacity.
• Coordinate with Inventory and Shipping/Receiving to meet on-time delivery.
