Job summary

Harrington in Manheim, PA is seeking a Materials Requirements Planner to actively analyze, monitor, and maintain MRP inputs to generate accurate work orders for the shop floor. You will track work orders, ensure proper inventory controls, and coordinate with purchasing on material availability.

The role requires 3+ years in planning/scheduling, with JDE experience preferred and proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in a planning/scheduling environment.
Ability to plan a variety of products of a complex nature.
Thorough knowledge of MRP and inventory planning techniques; purchasing fundamentals; JDE experience a plus.
Excellent analytical abilities and PC skills including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

Maintain JDE branch record settings to ensure actionable and accurate MRP messages.
Analyze stocking MRP messages to generate work orders based on material availability and shop floor capacity.
Enter, track, and maintain stock transfer orders.
Review, redate, and transfer orders.
Ensure proper work order inventory controls including backflush, issued, and serialized inventory.
Plan and control finished goods inventory for stock and customer orders with ownership and accountability.
Make decisions on work order quantities and dates based on MRP and supply/demand data.
Monitor work orders to ensure system expectations align with shop floor reality.
