J.B. Poindexter & Co. in Reading, PA is seeking a Planner to manage production scheduling, MRP generation, and work order maintenance.

You will coordinate with sales, operations, purchasing, and engineering to ensure on-time delivery and optimize inventory and capacity on the shop floor. The role requires five years in planning/scheduling with ERP/MRP experience, proficiency in Excel/Word/Outlook/PowerPoint, and a focus on data accuracy and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience in planning/scheduling/MRP.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and functions is required.
• Training in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
• Inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and generate manufacturing orders and work schedules for shop floor cells to achieve on-time delivery and minimize WIP/inventory.
• Coordinate with Master Scheduler and production on schedule changes and expedites.
• Maintain production planning systems and required lead-time data.
• Review inventory levels and develop plans for excess, obsolescence, or substitutions.
• Collaborate with chassis pool and sales to keep chassis data up to date.
• Use ERP systems and worksheets to support planning and capacity management.
• Provide input to management for rescheduling due to design changes or shortages.
• Liaise with shipping/receiving to meet on-time delivery.
