Job summary

FM Industries, located in Livermore, CA, seeks an experienced Planner to manage production flow, schedule adherence, and customer communication. The role requires predicting demand, releasing shop orders, and coordinating with manufacturing, procurement, materials, engineering, and the Business Manager to maintain lead times and avoid shortages.

The ideal candidate holds a BA/BS in Supply Chain or Business Operations with 3–5 years of related experience and is proficient with ERP/MRP systems

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Operations preferred with 3-5 years of related work experience
• Must be reliable and have excellent attendance
• Experience utilizing an ERP/MRP system, Epicor Vantage, or SAP preferred

Responsibilities

• Process timely release of shop orders in quantities that support upper-level demand
• Define, monitor and adjust planning as conditions in the processes or demand stream change
• Generate and respond to various ERP/MRP reporting to ensure intact schedules and priorities are defined
• Maintain weekly/monthly production schedule and execute subsequent MRP cycles
• Provide professional Customer service by responding to inquiries and communicating changes to the Business Manager
