Gwynedd Manufacturing - Production Planner

Gwynedd Manufacturing, a growing defense contractor located in North Wales, PA, is a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility dedicated to producing quality products for the U.S. Department of Defense and various U.S. Federal Law Enforcement Agencies. We are committed to innovation, technology development, and process improvement.

Position Overview:

The Production Planner plays a vital role in our organization. This individual uses data analysis from our ERP system to plan and schedule manufacturing activities across our shop floor, ensuring efficient operations and timely delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Extract and analyze data from ERP and other systems to determine current and forecasted needs, review historical data, and establish production standards for work center scheduling.
  • Create, update, and maintain production schedules for multiple departments.
  • Develop jobs and set priorities based on current and projected company needs.
  • Analyze inventory levels throughout manufacturing to identify priority needs and job sizes.
  • Communicate scheduling conflicts and updates to management during the production process.
  • Coordinate with Production Control Coordinators and Material Handlers to align on production priorities.
  • Utilize Epicor to track job statuses and communicate discrepancies to the production team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of manufacturing planning experience in an MRP-supported environment.
  • Some college coursework; CPIM or relevant certification preferred. Experience in logistics, inventory control, or purchasing is advantageous.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a team in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Quick learner of new computer software.
